Deported with her family to Irkutsk area from around Grodno. The family was made to work in tree logging. Her journey after the amnesty led through Samarkand, Teheran and Karachi to Tengeru in Tanzania where she spent several years in a refugee camp. Evacuated to the UK, she settled in London.
