Born in Warsaw, where she lived under the German occupation for four years. Marzenna, together with her sister, participated in the Warsaw Uprising in 1944. Held in a prisoner-of-war camp in Ożarów, later moved to Germany. Liberated from Oberlangen Camp by General Maczek’s Army. She came to live in the UK after she reunited with her mother and sister.
