PAPER – JOURNEY AND LANDSCAPE

I walked thousands of miles with our amazing ladies, some of them brilliant storytellers. These journeys took me from Poland, through Siberia to India, Tanzania, Iran, Mexico: places that took on Polish refugees with open hearts. Our connection was easier because they are women, they were girls and teenagers with dreams and aspirations, and after wartime they built their new lives in the UK – this migrant experience is something I can relate to very strongly. I guess that instinctively I associated white, cold, snowy landscape with my image of Siberia.
